Microgaming has long been one of the premiere software developers for online gaming sites in the history of the medium. The company's software powers a huge number of the most popular Internet casinos in Australia as well as in Europe and worldwide. Never one to rest on its own laurels, Microgaming recently announced that it is embracing innovation by offering a wide variety of new and exciting features for players in 2015 and beyond.
The first new technology that Microgaming has in store for players in 2015 is called "Fun View." It's a complete overhaul of the company's existing poker table software that is optimized for use on widescreen devices. When Internet gaming first rose to prominence, most home computers had attached monitors in the 4:3 "square" aspect ratio. Now, most monitors and even mobile devices like smartphones and tablets have a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is much more of a rectangular shape.
"Fun View" not only optimizes the interface to take advantage of the newest hardware, but also it offers a complete visual redesign, including crisp fonts, better-looking chips and cards and even graphics that are rendered in a 3D high resolution.
"Fun View" is currently in a public beta program across most of the online casinos that are a part of the MPN platform, but it is expected to roll out to all sites that support Microgaming software in early 2015.
