Get your popcorn ready as the Emmy Awards are around the corner and the nomination list has been finalised. The awards recognise the best of 2016 within the television industry. The leader’s in this year’s nominees include; Game of Thrones and The People v O.J Simpson, while Mr. Robot and The Americans finally get a breakthrough.
The full list of nominations is endless with numerous top actors, actresses, and television series’ nominated, there are some predictions happening as well. Here are selected few predictions based on a should win but will win basis.
It has been suggested that Game of Thrones will win, but The Americans should win. Other nominations in the category include; House of Cards, Downton Abbey, Better Call Saul, Mr. Robot, and Homeland.
Best comedy series will see Veep wining. Other nominations include; Transparent, Silicon Valley, Modern Family, Master of None, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Black-ish.
This category will expect The People v O.J Simpson: American Crime Story to win, but many are saying Franco should win. Other nominations include; American Crime, The Night Manager, and Roots,
This category is expected to see All the Way win, while other suggest Sherlock: The Abominable Bride should win. Other nominations include; A Very Murray Christmas, Confirmation, and Luther.
The best actor award is expected to go to Rami Malek (Mr. Robot), but Matthew Rhys (The Americans) should win. Other nomination includes; Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards).
Robin Wright will win for her role in the House of Cards, while Tatiana Maslany should win for her role in Orphan Black. Other nominations include; Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Claire Danes (Homeland), and Kerri Russell (The Americans).
